New Alamein City Waterfront Promenade visit with Minister Mostafa Madbouly

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, on February 21st met with Dr. Maher Stino to discuss the latest updates on the new city’s water front Promenade and the design and coordination of the central gardens located between the promenade and the coastal road of the city.
The promenade will be a first for providing public access to the sea shore previously the private domain of closed tourist villages. The landscape design offers wide open spaces with pedestrian and bike paths set in lush green settings with strategically located seating areas along the promenade’s entire length of 7 Km with special pavings accentuating transitional areas. Planned facilities and services will be aptly situated to meet the needs of residents and visitors alike. The touristic promenade will have a distinctive architectural design that varies from classic to modern in complete harmony with its natural and built surroundings. The New Alamein City is designed to be fully sustainable and functional year around with a target population of close to half a million.
