Five-Star Hotel Sharm el-Sheikh

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt

The project is located in the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, a jewel city at the Southern part of the Sinai Peninsula on the Red Sea, a tourist and international conference site location. The project includes  650 guestroom hotel, public areas, retail, and entertainment features.

Sites International was charged with converting plans developed for a combination of hotel and residential area to forging a design for a uniquely distinct hotel  set apart from other hospitality options in the area. The hotel is set within a beautiful array of open greenery and vast water features on 29 acres. The landscape design is modern with a mixture of Andalusian inspirations to sensitively blend the site with its surroundings.  Retail venues, services and entertainment are clustered in plazas  to generate  a small knit community feel. The architectural vision, where buildings are distributed in small clusters, is to fashion intimacy and privacy for residents.

The landscape design varies by area ranging from an entry way featuring  a high  jet fountain surrounded with colorful ground covers between rows of wide canopy palms, an Andalusian garden displaying a chaddar and colorful climbers set midst linear channels, to an artificial beach with sloped green areas. Hardscape’s unique colors and geometrical designs distinguish and complement each area’s theme. The site successfully created a charming and cozy setting while incorporating amenities of the finest hotels.
