Sites International Sponsors Egypt’s Biggest Landscaping Event
The Landscape Expo Exhibition, held from 26 November to 29 November, created a platform where Landscapers- be they suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, consultants or clients- could easily interact.
Sites International is a multidisciplinary award winning firm that has been active in the field of planning and design for 3 decades. The firm specializes in all planning fields and has completed over 60 projects in the discipline of Landscape Architecture alone. It was naturally fitting for Sites International to sponsor the country’s biggest landscaping event.
The event was held in Cairo Festival City, one of Sites International’s projects, and attracted several hundred visitors a day. The event also offered daily sessions where prominent figures in the field of landscape architecture gave lectures.
Dr. Maher Stino, founder/principal of Sites International prepared a presentation on Sustainable Landscape Architecture in the Middle East. Due to his unexpected absence, Eng. Khaled Abdel Gawad, Landscape Architect and Business Development Manager at Sites International, gave the presentation on his behalf. The presentation featured influential projects designed by Sites International, including, Al-Azhar Park, Nubian Museum and many others.
Sites International attracted the attention of several media channels. Eng. Hassan Tarek, Landscape Architect at Sites International, was interviewed twice by ‘Al Aqariya’ and ‘Al Fajr’ TV stations.
Dr. Laila ElMasry, founder/principal of Sites International, made available her latest publications during the event. The two volume book is exceptional in that it expounds the value of Landscape Architecture and use of local plants, a first to offer this information in Arabic. Al-Azhar Park, Cairo’s biggest park, was used as the case study.
